You are at a grocery store, a long list of supplies in your phone . Let’s add a little pepper to this situation and make it the last week of month too. A little short of cash, aren’t you?

Also, last time’s shopping experience did not turn out very well. Don’t worry, we will give you some grocery shopping hacks, to suffice all your needs in lesser amount!!

1.No more short term Expiry

So many times it happens that we buy something, only to realize that the product will expire very soon. Even if we try our best to consume it before the ‘dead’-line, we often end up wasting a lot of it. The trick to save ourselves from this wastage is to look carefully in the shelf. The stores will put each product in a queue. Ditch the one that is right in front, pick the one placed in far back. They are arranged in the order of expiry date, with back ones having a late expiry.

2.Do not forget to check the lower shelves

Do not fall prey to this very common strategy. The products placed at eye level will always be costlier. If you will have a look on the shelves below, you can find the same product from some other company, that might cost lesser. Try this hack, it might come in handy on your next visit to the grocery store.

3.Organic? Really?

Organic is undoubtedly the newer and healthier way of eating right! But putting a tag of organic on every vegetable and fruit is not necessary. Organic food is the one, which is grown sans pesticides. But before buying anything organic, you need to know there are certain food items, which naturally grow without any pesticides! A pineapple need not be organic, because its natural growing process is the same. Why spend extra cash on the tag of organic. Some items the need not be organic are avocados, green peas, onions, mushrooms, mango, etc.

4.Collect all the points you can, and put them to good use

Any store you shop at, will force you to take their membership card and give you some fancy offers that have to do with some points being credited to your account with each of your purchase. If you are a regular shopper, make use of these reward points Don’t just put the card in your wallet and forget about it. Get your reward points on each of your purchase. You might just get a good discount once points are enough!

We hope you liked these hacks. Please don’t forget to share your views!
